If you like to fish or want to get out on the ocean, Redondo Beach Sportfishing and Whale Watch in King Harbor offers day trips for the morning and afternoon hours, both private and public charters. I’ve been out several times on fishing trips with them and it’s such an amazing time to get out on the ocean and catch your own fish tacos for once. Take it from me, if you caught it yourself- it tastes 10 times better! I’ve caught everything from Rockfish and Flounders to Tuna and Sea bass! You can rent your gear or bring your own, all else you need is a ticket for the boat ($46.50) and a fishing license for the day ($16)

Tickets for whale watching is $35 a person and although I’ve never done it myself, Redondo Beach is very known for seeing whales around the Palos Verdes waters. Sometimes you can even catch a glimpse of them from the pier itself!
