In the mood for seafood? We’re definitely in no shortage of great seafood restaurants here in the South Bay but one in particular stands out as my favorite place to frequent. Captain Kidds Seafood in Redondo is great because not only is it a casual spot to grab some lunch, but you can also pick out whatever you like from the fresh selection on ice to take with you and cook at home- like a seafood market. The bisque is by far THE BEST lobster bisque I’ve had in the South Bay-and you probably realize I say that a lot about things but that’s the reason I’m writing and creating features on these places. If I think it’s THE BEST in it’s category- I’m here to tell you about it!

If you’re more of a ‘leave the cooking to the restaurant’ kind of person than rather shopping from the market- I totally get it. Captain Kidd’s has such a wide variety of fish and other seafood to choose from and many different sides to accompany your dish. They actually offer HUSH PUPPIES as a side! I only know what those are from going to college in the South, you definitely don’t find them often on the West Coast. They’re a ball of fried goodness, give them a try!
