Japonica originally opened it’s first location in Redondo Beach, and we are SO excited that they opened up a second location so close to the Hermosa Beach Pier. This is some of the most mouth watering sushi I’ve had in the South Bay Area.

Their rolls aren’t your typical, standard rolls you see on most menus- of course- they have the classic stuff too. But their specialty rolls are a decadent combination of ingredients that result in a mouth watering experience. THE FINAL FANTASIA ROLL is my top choice. It is a no rice roll, just sashimi (bluefin tuna, yellowtail Scottish salmon) crab, cucumber, and micro greens rolled up with soy paper. The HAMACHI DAVIDSON is also a fan favorite. As you can probably already tell, they have some pretty hilarious names for their craft rolls (others include the Jessica Albacore Roll , The Hasselhoff, and the Burning Man Roll)

**Make sure to ask for their house made special smoked soy sauce! They even sell it by the bottle!

Their Happy Hour is also amazing. It’s every day between 3-6pm and the deals are great!

Do note that this location is a little hole in the wall- meaning the seating is very limited as there are only a few tables inside and about 5-6 outside. So make sure you show up in advance as you may need to put your name in and take a stroll around the pier until there’s a table available. But I promise- it’s worth the wait!
