Hermosa Beach Pier and The Lighthouse Cafe

You probably already know, but maybe you don’t! Our beautiful Hermosa Beach Pier as well as the Lighthouse Cafe was used as a set in the blockbuster musical movie LaLa Land featuring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling. People travel near and far to Hermosa Beach after the release just to capture a glimpse of the Pier and take a selfie outside of the Lighthouse, which is one of the restaurant/bars right on Pier Ave. The lighthouse is probably one if not ‘the only’ remaining original establishments amongst the rest of the bars on the Pier which have had some turnover from time to time. The Lighthouse hosts all sorts of musical events every evening from karaoke night, to 80’s metal night, jazz night, and many other live musical features. It’s old school and authentic, truly a fun place to grab a drink and take in the fact that our beautiful beach town and pier was selected amongst many others for the film.

Make sure to try their house specialty pineapple margarita with a smoked salt rim and for a snack- the artichoke appetizer or side of broccolini is out of this world!
