Manhattan Beach Post is known for many reasons amongst the South bay but one in particular are the handcrafted cocktails. Once voted the best mixologists in the South Bay, the cocktail menu is derived personally from every bartender who’s worked there (and I would know because I proudly worked as one of their servers for my first 4 years living here). Give one of these a try:
Avilas Heir- much alike a margarita but with a spicy and unique citrus twist. In addition to the tequila the Ingredients include serrano, mandarin, and yuzu.
Manhattan Avenue- have you ever had a bourbon cocktail with a rim of bacon dust? Enough said.
This soulful and artisanal inspired establishment serves the best tapas, best weekend brunch, and best cocktails all around. MB Post is Chef owned and driven by Chef David Lefevre, who you may recognize from a recent season of Iron Chef. MB Post also provides some of the finest service, as the staff were all trained classroom style on the food, wine, and core values with intensive test exams. I would know because, fun fact, I was a waitress there for my first 4 years living in the South Bay. Have a go at it and challenge your server with what family farm the steak comes from or what that little herb is on the bottom of your dish, they’ll be sure to enlighten you.
** Sister restaurants by Chef David include Fishing With Dynamite (right next door to MB Post) and The Arthur J (located two blocks south of the Manhattan Beach Pier).
