Manhattan Beach
Manhattan Beach Post
Small Plate, tapas styled menu. Known for the Bacon Cheddar Buttermilk Biscuits with Maple Butter, and my personal favorite- the Spicy Blue Lake Green Beans with Crispy Pork. The absolute BEST cocktails and wonderful service.
Slay Italian Kitchen
Cozy vibe with the most fantastic pizzas and pastas on the menu. Personal favorite items include the Chopped Salad, Manhattan Market Pizza, and the Linguini Vongole. Keep in mind this restaurant is beer & wine only.
Fête Bistro
Same owner/chef as Slay Italian but with a French driven menu. Chic-casual vibe with a fun bar and atmosphere. The Whipped Chèvre appetizer and Steak Tartare are to absolutely to die for and the bar makes a great Martini.
Fishing With Dynamite
Same owner/chef as MB Post, but very small compared in size and very limited tables. Seafood driven menu with the best oysters and raw bar in all of the South Bay. Your experience must absolutely include the Peruvian Scallops on the Half Shell, the Maryland Blue Crab Cake, the Koshihikari Rice, and don’t even get me started about the Key Lime Pie for dessert!
Love and Salt
An Italian inspired restaurant with a refined and contemporary dining room. Top favorites are the Shaved Fennel Salad, Duck Egg Pasta, and Spaghetti al Granchio.
Hermosa Beach
RYLA
Coastal cuisine imbued with Japanese flavors. Intimate vibe with dim lighting and eclectic menu ranging from Sushi Rolls, to Ramen, to Rice & Noodles, and other delicious Japanese food staples. The Mapo Pasta is spicy yet divine, and I always love the oysters and Yellowtail Buri Sashimi!
Baran’s 2239
A Family-owned nook in a small strip mall off the PCH in Hermosa with a diverse and seasonal menu. Don’t let the location fool you on this one, Baran’s is a Michelin star restaurant! The Beef Carpaccio, Indian Egg, and Coffee Glazed Pork Belly are my faves. This is also a beer & wine only establishment.
Slay Hermosa
After opening three of the top restaurants in Manhattan Beach, the chef driven owners of the Slay restaurants finally opened one of their spots in Hermosa. My favorite seats in the house are the upper level rooftop dining area. The Daily Fish Crudo, Baked Burrata, and Sautéed Filet of Sole are all highly recommended. And the agave wine based cocktails are so good you won’t even realize it’s not real liquor.
Fox & Farrow
One of my boyfriend and my favorite date night spots! The vibe is speakeasy meets hunters lounge with a very meat driven menu. The Pheasant sausage, Duck Orecchiette pasta, and Brussel Sprouts are always my favorite. They also make a damn good Dirty Martini or Espresso Martini.
Hook & Plow
Farm-to-table gastropub serving seafood, seasonal plates, craft beer & cocktails amid rustic decor. The Clam Chowder, Panko Crusted Avocados, and Furikake Fries are my consistent go-to’s.
The Bottle Inn
One of Hermosa Beach’s OG restaurants serving authentic Italian cuisine, locally loved by all for more than 50 years! Muscles Arrabiata, Fettuccini Bolognese, and Ossobucco!
Redondo Beach
Rex Steakhouse
Steakhouse restaurant incorporates elements of luxury, showcasing an artistry of colors, fixtures, and textiles to create a sleek yet modern design concept. The light up menus are a fun element to the dining experience. The Crudo is mouthwatering, and if you’re looking for an option B aside from the Steak- the Short Rib is divine!
Little Sister
Cozy and vibey Vietnamese restaurant with AMAZING food and cocktails. Elegant with a little bit of a bar scene. Every time I go I try new things, you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu.
Sea Level Restaurant
Located at the Shade Redondo Hotel. Very romantic atmosphere overlooking the water and marina. The menu is seafood centric and has an expansive outdoor dining area in addition to their indoor dining room.
Riviera House
Beachy warm with chic decor in the Redondo Beach Hollywood Riviera. Surf 'n turf menu with a raw bar & expansive craft cocktail menu in a mod indoor-outdoor space. I love me a good Fish & Chips which isn’t always easy to find on menus, but the Lemon Butter Scallops are also incredibly yummy!
Salt & Pearl
I will personally be experiencing Salt & Pearl for the first time on Valentine’s Day! I’ve had so many friends dine here in the last few weeks since it’s opening and have heard non-stop fantastic things. Give them a call and if they still have availability - maybe I’ll see you there!
